I used these to mount a 50mm whitetail scope on a .308 FAL. The clearance is not enough to also use the peep sight, but that's because the scope is 50mm -- a 40mm scope would have allowed me to still use the peeps.

We've put about 100 rounds downrange on two different outings after zeroing and the scope has held zero fine, so I know the rings aren't moving despite the .308 recoil.

Some people think these rings aren't solid enough but I feel they are great. Just make sure you tighten the hex screws and the mounting nuts tightly, AND make sure your rail mount is also tight. Check the fasteners periodically if you're using a high-recoil rifle.

Only complaint I have is that the hex screw sockets (the part the hex wrench fits into) aren't sturdy enough to really hold up to a lot of cranking. An extremely average product. Not great but not terrible either. If you are looking for the cheapest rings possible for your .22(or under)rifle, then this will fit the bill fine. For higher calibers, looks else where.

Pros: Low Cost, Fit the Picatinny rail, Can use iron sights

Cons: Taller than the product description.(I measured about a 1 9/16" height)

That's a BSA Deer Hunter 3-9x50 Scope in the pictures I added. The extra, unexpected height actually helped because the big 50mm scope would have blocked the iron sights if it was the 1.4" Of course now I'll need a bigger cheek riser(home made of course)on the stock than I wanted...
