I bought a 12 and 20 ga for slug guns. Started from scratch with the 20. The day was partly cloudy or sunny if you wish, I was able too see the red dot at a max distance of 30 yds so that is were I sighted it in from. With the gun anchored in a lead sled I just simply walked the scope to the dot. It is just that simple. I moved back to 50 yds and made a few minor sight corrections and I was there. Three rounds same hole.
I popped the 12ga in my known to be sighted in gun and the dot was EXACTLY on the vertical target line a few inched high.
This is a good product for the money. You can spend more and get the same results just that care of them and I am sure they will last for years.

I purchased this bore sighter to mount and sight-in scopes and lasers for customers.
It is very quick and easy to use.
The key with barrel mounted lasers is to aliogn both dots at the tactical distance you plan to shoot at.
Then test fire the firearm to double check the adjustment.
I would suggest this device to anyone setting up shotgun sighting systems.
I also purchased the same model in 12 Gauge.
