I originally ordered the ATN mk390 Paladin but was subsequently informed by a representative of the distributing entity (rhymes with FLOP-TICKS MAN-IT) that the 390 was on back order and would be unavailable for an indefinite period. He went on to say that he would be willing to give me the 410 for the same price. I jumped on it. Upon receipt, I inspected the package: a green ATN satchel for the IR illuminator and scope that came with a set of CR123 batteries and the user manual. I have not had the chance to sight it in yet and will update this review after its baptism by fire, HOWEVER, I am struck that the fit and finish is good (4 star good, not 5 star excellent) - the unit feels well constructed. I set the diopter during daylight hours per the manual's instructions (the cap has a small orifice that allows use during the day without damaging the intensifier tube) and feel confident that I should be able to boresight at 25-50 yards during the day and fine tune the zero after...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: AMERICAN TECH NETWORK NV SCOPE 1+ GEN SPARTAN (Misc.) Please do not listen to the negative reviews for this product. I have owned multiple different nightvision devices and this is by far the best i have seen. The view is extremely clear in almost complete darkness. Do not expect to hunt with this device past 150 or so yards, but besides that is plenty of distance to see a target/identify/and SEND IT! I am very pleased with the price (I have been holding out for some time now) and the only 1 drawback for this scope is the weight. It is freakin heavy for a scope, so you wont be Mr. Navy seal running around rifle up all night, so.... Get yourself a bipod and if you are mounting this to an AR-15 a2 make sure you get a nice folding/collapsing butstock because my AR had a fixed stock (orig from NY land of many stupid laws and now in TX!!!) and shooting will be much more comfortable when i install my VLTOR IMOD (cant wait coming in this week). The reticle is clear and adjustable and seems to be possibly range finding if you know how to...Read more 3 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: AMERICAN TECH NETWORK NV SCOPE 1+ GEN SPARTAN (Misc.) I bought the 390 but there was no magnification at all so I returned it and upgraded to the 410. the 410 is advertised as a 5X scope , It barely had 1.5-2 x power . I used a Leupold Mark AR and a Bushnell elite 3200 daylight scopes for comparison and took photos of each I sent the photos to ATN , I was told from the tech, at ATN that they do not use the same standards of measurement as daytime scopes they have thier own standards . So if you dont believe me, call ATN and ask them your self before you buy . save your money , I was very disappointed with ATN and their scopes . |
