This review is from: Barska 1X20mm Red Dot Compact Rifle Scope (Sports) Was worried it wouldn't hold zero. After 150 rounds, still on point. Its a compact size not bulky and I also like the lens color(helps eliminate the glare).....it just looks cool on my AK-47! Not as high quality as those five hundred dollar ones, but it works and looks great! Only gripe I have is sometimes when I turn the wheel(counter clockwise ex. 0-11) to turn the dot on, I sometimes open the battery compartment also since the gimping on the cap runs along the turn dial....but I have huge fingers so might not be a problem for others. No big deal though since it doesn't fully open the compartment and I just tighten it back up. That being said, the dot has several brightness levels, but I have mainly used the 11 level since its been real sunny out here. I can see the dot very clearly. All in all good red dot scope. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Barska 1X20mm Red Dot Compact Rifle Scope (Sports) I was really excited about this sight. It came in the mail on schedule. I mounted the sight which was very simple, I turned on the sight and it is not 2MOA as the company claims, as well as it is not a dot but more of a splotch on the optic. I got over that and took it out to sight in. I used a laser bore sight to get it close before I sight it in at the range. Sighting in was easy and fast but after about 10 shots the brightness dial started comming loose and by shot 16 the sight was not staying on due to how loose it was. I am really disappointed with this sight! The dial just spins now. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By dhh (southern california) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Barska 1X20mm Red Dot Compact Rifle Scope (Sports) Customer Video Review Length:: 1:01 MinsSimply put, the brightness on this scope is so dim it's unusable. In this video I compare the barska 20mm RED DOT, micro compact design to a $30 BSA (cloned by many others too). At full power the Barska is about the same brightness as the BSA on level 4. There is no way anybody can use this scope during the daytime, period. This scope isn't even bright enough to use in any light at all, better hope it's dark if you need this. For $70 I expected more. I got less. Last barska product I ever buy. I gave this a second star simply because it's a good clone of nicer scopes; size, shape, design are all good, it would be a nice scope if it was usable. |
