BARSKA AR Riser Mount

I purchased this mount after I received a defective NcStar mount. On that mount, a set screw was manufactured incorrectly, so I exchanged it for this mount. First of all, the BARSKA mount is of much higher quality than the NcStar. The mount that was received allows room for a back-up pop up rear sight.. exactly what I was looking for! I mounted it to the gun and was very pleased that I finally found something that would fit on the rail with my Magpul back-up sight. I went to tighten down the screws and one of the thumb screws was manufactured incorrectly and could not tighten down. This was a huge bummer... instead of returning the mount for a completely different model, I opted for an exchange. Hopefully the replacement BARSKA sight I receive will be free of defects. Besides the thumbscrew being defective, the BARSKA riser is of high quality and I will be happy to have it on my AR.

This is a great AR Riser Mount, it raises my mounting platform to 3/8" adding the height I needed on my AR, to attach scopes, and optics when accessory. It has plenty of slots for maximum scope ring adjustments. The peep sight design to use for the rifle's iron sight is functional. It feels solid, well made. And it has a good finish, which is similar to some of the more expensive risers I have seen. I attached a NIKON M-223 8486 2-8x32 Rifle scope, with the M-223 743 AR Mount to the riser, it brings it to the correct height adjustment I wanted. The huge knobs are easy to turn. So hand tightening the mount to the picatinny rail is easily done, and secure. I like this riser because of the overall quality vs price. I plan to purchase more of these in the future, to use on other optics and scopes that need the line of sight raised.

I purchased this item to mount a Barska 4-9x32 Plinker Scope to my Colt Umarex .22lr M-16 SPR Rifle. The riser was out of the box and mounted to the rail system within minutes, which thankfully allowed me to mount the scope I had purchased for the rifle. The mounting screws are HUGE, and are easy to manipulate without the need for screws. This is a great product for any rifle with all around rails like the Umarex M-16 SPR or any AR-15 variant with similar mounting systems, and also allows a nice little boost of height to make positioning of your scope easier to look through, particularly when you want to mount a scope for target plinking.

Overall, a very robust and straightforward product. I recommend this to anyone wanting to mount a targeting scope to an AR-15 Platform.
