Amazon has done there part, and I have no complaints on there service, but this scope base is a joke. 1st. It didn't fit on the rifle and had to be filed. 2nd. it's made of soft aluminum and has 8 screws, that you have to work with, that easily become striped before your job is done. This makes it impossible to fix the scope on the rifle so that it doesn't jar loos on recoil. I have had it to the range twice and have been disappointed both times. I'm trying one more thing, and if that don't work it will find it's self in the trash. The aluminum would have been better used in pop cans.

The recoil from the m44 is too much for this mount. It moves a bit from side to side, causing scope not to zero
