This review is from: BARSKA RUGER 10-22 Muzzle Brake (Sports) I bought this muzzle break strictly for looks on my new 10/22. When installed it looked great, but there were a couple problems. First, its only held on by a tiny screw, after about 30 shots the screw gets loose, and it isn't sturdy enough to tighten on a regular basis. It gets stripped easily. Secondly, I have a Bushnell scope on my Ruger. When I was trying to sight it in at 100 yds groups were about 12 in. I decided to take the muzzle break off and try it, and I was getting 2 in. groups. So basically, if your going to use it for looks, not fire a whole lot, and keep your shooting to 50 yds or less then get it. If not, save your money. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: BARSKA RUGER 10-22 Muzzle Brake (Apparel) the brake makes my 10-22 look like an m1 carbine-cool! now the bad news - as other reviews stated, the set screw is worthless-and the finish is so so-with sharp edges. It does fit tightly on the barrel without the screw-I would buy another if just for the looks. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: BARSKA RUGER 10-22 Muzzle Brake (Sports) Made for Ruger and apparently it comes loose and falls off and what not. On the Mossberg 702 you have to beat(lightly) it on but it fits GOOD. You dont even need the set screw. 600 rounds and the thing hasn't moved on my Mossberg Tactical 22 and it wont without beating the crap out of it. |
