I just moved to MN where it is -4 out right now. This thing is friggin awesome. I cna go from an 75 degree temp house to -4 with no fog or moistuer build up. I left it out in the gargae over night to see if the temps would do anything. Then brought it inside, nothing changed. It is a heck of alot scope for the price. Zero has stayed on target for 1,000 rnds. 1/8 MOA adjustment is perfect for my 500yds shots with 6.5 grendel cartridge. Turrets are really good, parallax is so, so. All in all, I will by more of these scope for my other rifles.

Con's:
Scope rings you will need to by the high ones. This is a big scop but the first rings I bought I had to rtn due to the bottom of the scope hitting the flat top. There is a little pice of metal that sticks out about 1/4 inch at a wierd angle that it keeps getting hung up on. I had to by a 1" height ring, not the low profile or mid profile but high profile scope ring if that makes sense.

I have this on my M1A on a detachable mount from Bassett Machine. I take the scope / mount on and off frequently to clean the rifle, and the zero comes right back. I've put a couple hundred rounds through the rifle / scope and had no issues, and M1A's with an elevated mount put a decent amount of impact type force on a scope. Sight picture is bright and clear, and not the best I've ever seen, but better than I expected for a scope at this price. If I'm in the market for another decent scope and budget is a consideration, I'll get another BSA Contender. I don't use the illuminated reticle much, but the colors all work well with noticeable changes in brightness on the 3 power settings for each color. None of them are super bright in daylight, but that's not when you care about an illuminated reticle. If you're thinking about getting one of these, and the quality is as good as I've seen, you won't be disappointed.
