BSA 6-18X40AO Sweet 22 Rifle Scope with Adjustable Objective.

I've only had this scope a couple weeks, so I've only been to the range with it once. It zeroed very nicely (even at 100 yds) and with the 18x magnification, I can defeintely see as far as I'll ever be able to shoot with a .22LR! The optics are also very clear as long as there's sufficient light.
I can't wait to take it to the range again to see how well it holds zero.

Almost all .22 ammo types shoot differently, so the trajectory compensation turrents probably won't be perfect, but they'll definitely be close! When going from 50 to 100 yds, I think I had to make an additional MOA of correction (4 clicks) beyond the "100" mark because I was using CCI subsonic ammo with a slightly steeper trajectory. Standard loads will probably require even less fine-tuning.

I searched extensively for this item and as usual, Amazon.com came through again.
I got a very good price on this scope, received it in short order and am very pleased with it's performance. So far I haven't used it at the optimum range. I sighted this scope in at 25 yrds. using the turret for 36 gr. hollow points. I managed a dime sized group and am currently using it for squirrel hunting. This scope mounted on my 22 autoloader make a deadly combination. I also own the BSA Sweet 17 and am very pleased with this line of products!

I researched scopes for my son's new Savage Mark II-FV for several days. I read through hundreds of reviews. I then visited Dicks Sporting Goods and Cabellas retail stores- to actually compare various models I was interested in. I picked up a Sweet 17 @ Cabellas (the Sweet-22 was out of stock).. and physically compared it to Centerpoint, Tasco, Barska, Bushnell, Simmons, and some higher-end optics like Nikon, Pentax, and Burris.

The clarity was very good, the reticle was clear and unobtrusive. It was very easy to focus, though a little stiff- likely due to it not being mounted to a rifle. It seemed adequate when viewing low-light areas of the store. The scope is heavy and well-constructed. It was just what we needed- in our price-range.
