By This review is from: 1/2" Picatinny Riser (Sports) This item serves it's purpose. I needed a 1/2" rise on a canted Optic. My issue with this item is that it is manufactured in such a way that there is a lot of clearance in the fitment. When mounted to my rifle it was loose. I needed to use a vise to bend the bottom to fit. I see no reason that this can't be addressed by the manufacturer. If for any reason I needed to remove this in the field I could not replace it as I don't keep a vise with me in the field. In summary, it does serve it's purpose once I fixed it with a table vise. If this is intended in the design, it needs to be mentioned in the product description. Otherwise, it appears that Buris cannot manufacture a simple item to reasonible tolerances. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 1/2" Picatinny Riser (Sports) It slides into the main rail fine. The two bolts/screws that hold it in place are narrower than the grooves, so the riser moves. That definitely moves your scope when firing. So far, I can't find a riser that is snug. You may want to ditch the supplied Allen key and use a sturdy T handle key for the proper torque required to squarely secure the base in place. |
