Burris Xtr Tact Med 1" Rings Matte

I am currently using two pairs of these on target rifles in .223 Remington and .308 Winchester (see customer image). They are extremely solid, look good, and I really have no complaints about them.

The only caveats that I might offer have to do with the dimensions. The 1" medium seems a bit too high for a scope with a 40mm objective lens. This potentially reduces the amount of elevation adjustment that you can get from the scope. It's a minor point unless you're doing a lot of long range shooting. I might have chosen a lower profile version of the same rings if I'd thought of it. The width of ring bands is also a potential problem if you have a short scope, and fixed scope mount points rather than a rail that allows easy adjustment of the space between the rings.

I'm happy with the purchase/s, and wouldn't hesitate to get another pair.
