Offering all you've ever wanted in a spotting scope, the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 15-45x60 scope does everything but actually bag the B&C elk or spot the rare bird species for you. The Legend Ultra HD spotting scope has three key ingredients to help it stand out from the competition: ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion glass, fully multicoated optics, and Bushnell's patented RainGuard HD water-repellent coating. ED Prime glass produces a color-tuned, high-resolution viewing experience, delivering the utmost in clarity and color fidelity in normal and low-light situations. The fully multicoated optics, meanwhile, reduce light loss and glare due to reflection, resulting in a brighter, higher-contrast image with reduced eyestrain. And the RainGuard HD coating protects your view during inclement weather by reducing large drops of water to near-microscopic specks. This dramatically increases light transfer and results in a remarkably clear image in wet weather. Whether you're dealing with rain, snow, sleet, or condensation, you'll enjoy a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless.

The Legend Ultra HD spotting scope also offers stacked, dual-focus controls, so you can make both rapid and fine-tuning adjustments. And to top it off, the scope comes with a soft carrying case and viewing tripod. Other features include a 15 to 45x magnification range; BaK-4 porro prisms; long eye relief; a close-focus distance of 18 feet; and a straight zoom eyepiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Made, December 27, 2010

I received this scope for Christmas. It is packaged well in a semi-ridged soft case. The stand is very sturdy and stays put when locked into place and you are looking at something in the 45X setting. It's clear and bright and you can see targets at 100 yards just like the target was five feet in front of you. The RainGuard is a nice feature, but does cause the controls to be a bit on the stiff side when operating them. Example, the amplification ring is a hard twist to go from 15X to any greater magnification. It doesn't bother me, but I feel it should be noted for those who may suffer from arthritis in their hands. The fine tuning ability is amazing (or as the first reviewer states the two step focusing). I honestly cannot find any fault in the scope at this time. Once I use it more (after it warms up outside) I'll come back and update my review.

3.0 out of 5 stars Constant eye relief?, May 7, 2011

This review is from: Bushnell Legend Ultra High Definition Black Ed Glass Spotting Scope, 15-45X60mm (Sports)
Bushnell claims this scope has *constant* eye relief of 20mm,
when in fact that eye relief is at x15 magnification only.
As you zoom in to x45, forget using it without your eye glasses.

Bushnell customer support is a joke. Email replies are anonymous, they are signed "do not reply to this email" (but they will reply - sometimes...), and the person who dealt with my inquiries was not very knowledgeable.

On the positive side, I received a broken Scope from the vendor, and Bushnell replaced it with no charge.

Just got it and mounted it on a tripod; looking down the road to the small town I
live by and it looks great. The center intersection is 1.3mi., it's as if I was standing on the curb. The field test will be this fall, I plan to buy the camera mount to take pictures of deer.
