Butler Creek 16 Eyepiece Flip Open Scope Cover

It cracked the first time I took it to the range. I think it came open in the rifle case and got bent back. I have a much older set on a different rifle that has lasted years. I compared the two and the newer one appears to be made with a different, more brittle, type of plastic.

This product mounted to the scope easily. It will do a good job to keep out moisture and other debris. The problem is that the button mechanism is quite cheap and of poor design. The button is nothing more than a cheap plastic lever that pushes on a tab on the outside of the flap that opens and closes. Inoreder for you to open the cover you have to push the red plastic button and then grab the cover and pull it open. This is not what I expected but it is cheap. What can you expect?

Mine fits on my Nikon Buckmasters perfectly and the flip switch positions conveniently. I'm very happy with it and hopefully will end the issue of snow on my glass!
