Summary: Replaced my $1200 Leupold! 2010-02-22
Comment: This is the second Zeiss Conquest I have purchased to date. I've found over my 30+ years shooting experience, that Zeiss scopes are really superior to others, that cost two times the money. The focal clarity, is unmatched. For anybody who is a hunter, you will find superior low light visibility, which as you know, is very important, especially as dusk falls. In any of the the Conquest scopes, are the ultimate best optics, at the lowest price. Buy one, you won't be sorry!

Comment: A high list price is my only complaint about this beautifully-engineered and crafted scope. As we've come to expect from Zeiss [and from so many other German companies], this scope is carefully designed for ease and simplicty of use, for durability, for optical clarity, and for solidity in the hand. The image is crystal-clear, the zoom ring slides silently as though in oil, the eye relief is optimal for higher-powered rifles [mine is mounted on a .270 WSM], the x-and-y axis adjusters work beautifully... I have nothing even slightly negative to report about function. I do believe it's somewhat over-priced, at least compared to the better Nikon Monarchs, for example, but I had some gift certificates to spend, so that wasn't an issue.
