A compact flashlight and laser sight combo
* Super bright 90Lumen LED Bulb * Black color polymer body * Crossbar mounting system mounts the flashlight and allows speedy installation and removal of the flashlight * Mode selector set various operation mode such as flashlight only, laser sight only and flashlight/laser sight the same time. Mode selector also works as a safety switch. * Dual Switches: Button switch turns on continuous beam of the flashlight or/and laser sight. Included cord remote switch turns flashlight or/and laser sight momentarily. * Two cord switches included, one for pistol use and a longer one for rifle use. * 650nm red laser sight is fully adjustable for Windage and Elevation with included Allen wrench. * 2x CR123 3Volt lithium batteries (included). Battery run time: approximately 2.5hours * Weight: 5 1/2oz (Batteries installed) * Size: 3 1/2"Lx 1 ˝"W x 2"H The flashlight fits onto Picatinny and Weaver rails including RAS/RIS. This review is from: Instapark® RAS RIS Rail Mounted Tactical High output 3Watt LED Flashlight w/ Laser Sight(Free Shipping) (Electronics) I bought this device intending to mount it on my full-size HK USP .45, as none of the info here indicated it wouldn't work for this. From my experience so far, I would not recommend the Instapark Tac-Light/Laser for use on handguns, period; it is really far too large to mount correctly. I tried it on several other pistols to make sure (all of mine that had rails): HK USP's, Glocks, Sig P220, and Steyr M-A1; none of these had slots in the rail at the correct place to match the unit's mounting bracket, and/or the unit's rail-mount was hanging completely off the end of the gun-rail. Also, due to the bulk and weight of the unit, it seems to not work well on polymer-framed guns or plastic rails - the unit had a tendency to bend the entire frame of the gun when jostled, potentially degrading the alignment of the laser.
I would personally only recommend this unit for use on rifles, shotguns (see update), or smg's that have plenty of sturdy rail-space underneath. I own a Ruger SR9 9mm and a Beretta Px4 .45, and it fits both fine. The brightness of the LED light is good, and the laser can be adjusted to line up with your sights. The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because it is large, and even with a belt holster made to allow for a rail mount light, it won't fit. The LED flashlight sticks out past the end of the barrel more than an inch, and most holsters made for this application, don't allow for this. Comparable LED w/ laser systems I have seen selling for $350, so, with the price at $80, it's hard to complain. |
