This review is from: Millett Tactical Aluminum Ring with Accessory Rail (Sports) I've read the 2 other reviews. These are great 30mm rings, very well built and sturdy, you don't have to worry about bumping your scope. barska sells them for double the price with 1" inserts. they come out of the same factory. I have both brands. the screws are fine if you use a good torx driver. If you want to see iron sights through them buy the high ones like most people. I'm buying another set now. Make no mistake, these will hold fine on any 50 Cal 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Millett Tactical Aluminum Ring with Accessory Rail (Sports) These rings are well made though a little thick in some areas unnecessarily making them heavier than needed. The attachment screw is reliable and easy to turn without aid. The above mount is precise and level. The top half of the rings are each secured with six hex screws of good quality. My biggest issue with these rings is that they seem like they would be see-through but they are not. You would have to have the ear of lady luck for your setup to align properly to use iron sights though the space under these rings. Though most buy this type of sight to attach a red dot above their scope I cannot as the top turret of my scope is higher than the mounting point making this impossible. Some of the rings on Amazon are not of the quality where you can use a lapping tool to get you scope as level as possible. These are of sufficient quality so that you can grind down high spots and have them cradle your scope properly. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Ralph "gymbag" (UTARD) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The issue I have is with the star screws, these screws are not machined well, they are too shallow to get the star wrench deep enough to get a good grip. I like that there are six screws per ring to hold tight and ensure the scope won't slide, but these screws will be switched out for standard allen screws ASAP. The rings are good and worth the cost, just beware the screws. |
