Summary: Great Scope for the Money... 2010-08-28
Comment: So I had a red dot on my flat top M&P 15 AR-15 so never really got to test out the long distance capabilities. Came in a great box, padded well in molded foam. Out of the box it looks great, well made, and looks mean. Put it on it with no real problems, I had to tilt and wiggle it to fit on there but once on it secured tightly with the quick release lever. Immediately took it out to the range. Sighted it in at 100 yds. First shot was eight inches high eight inches left. In the next five shots got it zeroed right in the bullseye. Put 20 more rounds downrange at 100yds. and all were grouped within 4 inches. Went out to 150yds. fired eight. Had to adjust windage as the gust picked up but it worked great and all rounds were within 4 inches after the windage was adjusted. The illumination looks great with different brightness settings. The only critique I have is that the crosshairs are pretty thick. This scope would be Five Stars if the crosshairs were thinner. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Summary: 3-9x42 Scope 2010-08-25
Comment: For the money this is an effective scope. Although at higher mags 7-9X your sight picture is mor difficult to focus clearly. The mounting system is very user friendly. Since mounting this scope I have put over 250 rounds downrange and have had no problem maintaining zero.(I zeroed at 50) The eye relief takes a little getting used to compensate for parrelex. Would I buy another of these scopes .....yes Would I recommend this scope to anyone else......yes Although if you are looking for the crystal clear perfect picture then break the bank and get high dollar. For me this was easy to zero (took six shots at 50 yd) I'll keep using it. When I get ready for some high mountain long shoots maybe a different story. This scope is a bargain and will serve my purpose for sometime to come. The one thing I noticed when zeroing you have to make sure to hold the turret ring or else you will adjust for bullet drop at the same time (real easy to see and correct)

Summary: Good Scope, Bad Mount 2010-07-24
Comment: I bought this scope after reading positive reviews from other customers. I was using it on an AR15 / A2. I have a rail mount on the carry handle, and wanted the quick release so I could take it on and off. The problem isn't the scope. It's the mount. I haven't used the scope at the range, so I have no opinion on how well it holds up. I can tell you that the lenses are clear and very bright. The illunination is good too. The quick release mount is the problem. There is a spring loaded side of the mount where the quick release lever is. There is too much play between the moving side, and the rest of the mount. Once the mount is properly tightened, there is an up and down rocking of the scope. I would think that under the recoil of a rifle, the scope would loosten up. If you have an A2 type AR15, and want to use this scope, buy the one with the carry handle mount. I will be returning this to Amazon.

Summary: Seems all of these scopes are canted 2010-07-17
Comment: Bought one of these scopes locally, when I mounted it I realized the crosshairs were not level, canted about 10 deg to the left.
I returned it and the store tried 3 more new same scopes on different rifles and they all were the same.
I got my money back, but it is such a nice looking scope, I saw the same scope on Amazon wanted to get one and contacted the seller asking him to check the level before shipping it.
He called back the next day and told me he tried 10 of these new scopes on a level surface pointed at a spirit level and their crosshairs were all sloped to the left, he reimbursed me. I called NCStar and they e-mailed me instructions on how to file the bottom of the scope to get it level????
This is amazing how these scopes are not checked before leaving the manufacturing plant, maybe they are checked and sent out anyway.
If you do want one, be sure the seller checks the level.

Summary: Reject! 2010-07-01
Comment: Got this scope and the box and other packaging looked good. Examining the scope was another story. The large female threads at the front of the scope that hold the optics retaining ring were galled and damaged. Looking through the scope, the cross hairs were not square to the body. The cross hairs were rotated a few degrees off of vertical with no way to adjust them. This made the unit unusable and I returned it the next day. Looked to me as if it was returned then resold to me. Total P.O.S.
