I am a lifelong gun enthusiast and shooter, I build and restore rifles. I just finished a Savage model 10 heavy barrel sniper. I needed a scope and had no interest in forking over $1500 for one. On a chance I bought the sightmark. I had many proponents saying to me that I have to have Leupold.
I just got back from the range and I can tell you that this sightmark is a winner. It zeroed with 4 rounds and stayed zeroed through 44 extra hot .308 rounds. The point of aim stayed rock solid through all the magnification ranges. At the highest magnification of 40 the sight picture remained crisp and clear. Accuracy was unparalleled at 300 yards, and I wish the shooting range was a 1000 yard range because I have no doubt this scope could handle it.
