The Sightmark 4-16x44 Triple Duty riflescope uses cutting edge glass and lens coatings to ensure that it is the most accurate tactical instrument on the market. Precision multicoated optics are the distinguishing feature of the Sightmark Triple Duty riflescope line; multicoated lenses offer the clearest view for easy target acquisition in both bright and low light situations. Both waterproof and fog proof, the nitrogen filled Sightmark Triple Duty line features oversized windage, elevation and focusing adjustment knobs for easy adjustment in the field. Locking mechanisms on the windage and elevation adjustments provide an additional level of accuracy and ensure that the scope stays zeroed. I searched all over looking for a mil-dot scope, 30mm tubes didnt really seem to be that much of a noticeable selling point now that Ive shot my one inch scopes and then shot the 30mm, as far as light goes. It can maybe be picked up in some exacting situation, but on a so-so day at the range I just didnt see it all that much. However, the 30mm did seem to have a lot more adjustment in windage and vertical. Thats worth paying for I think, since toying around with long-range shooting means moving point of impact point of aim around a lot. Konus, Sightmark, and Hawke scopes were shopped and if you may be headed to play in the long range sport and who knows, may NOT like it, an 8 or 900 dollar scope will be enough to ensure that divorce youve always wanted. *price was nice,I even lucked out on a sale.
*very clear glass I have no haze or glare.
*mounted on a remington 700, .308 .
*bore sighted at 100 yards first shot was 10 inches off center walked it in shot number 7 was dead center.
*200 yards fired a test shot for bullet drop and three shot group at .875 in. (7/8 in.).
*windage and elevation adjustment locks to prevent those unknown movements.
*the adjustments are audable and can be felt with each click.
*the red and green mildot is set up to be the same as military optics.
*illumination on the mildots does not reflect on inside glass.
*I would by another of sightmark's product just as soon as by something mount it on.
*a very good scope for budget minded optic.
