Nice little scope for the money,

I decided that it was time to get with the times with my AR-15 but couldn't justify spending a lot of dough on a scope given that I don't shoot as much as I like. Build quality is really nice with only the rail screws feeling a bit low budget. That said, the scope mounts up nice and tight and even after 300 rounds, it's holding zero like I had hoped (windage and elevation screws are excellent). The dot is adjustable from perfect at night (setting 1) all the way up to eyeball searing (setting 11) in the brightest sunlight.
Honestly the only downside to this scope is that at 5 MOA, the dot is too big for mid to long distance shooting. If you're trying to reach out past 25 yards, your target better be pretty big or the dot will obscure what you're trying to hit (you will still hit it, you just can't super-precision shoot). The dust covers aren't attached so you have to put them in your pocket and the brightness control is pretty stiff (but smooth).
That said...Read more

This is a generic red dot with a 3/8" clamp mount for most .22s and airsoft guns. It does what it's suppose to. It holds up well for most rimfire shooters and stays zeroed. I added some #13 Optical Butler Creek flip up covers just to protect it during storage. You'll see this same red dot scope sold under different names other than Tasco. Same Chinese factory builds them for dozens of retailers.

Sight was purchased for an air rifle used for rodent control. All I can say is it works flawlessly for its intended purpose. No more pine squirrels in the attic!
