I use these for Follow Spots for theater. For a long time we have been jury rigging stand offs to make the telrad finder (site) more usable. AT last they make a stock stand off that fits the site without modification!!
The 2" model is not very useful for me but the 4" is pretty good. A 5" would probably be perfect....
Although all plastic, the vertical struts are strong and quite solid. The mounting system is exactly the same as the original base so they fit perfectly.
All in all, it does the job perfectly for me.
