Summary: Cheap Knock Off 2010-03-02
Comment: I bought this and was very disappointed. It was not a UTG riser it was a very cheap knock off. I contacted UTG to confirm this sent them a picture of the riser and the box it came in (neither was marked UTG) and they confirmed it wasn't theirs. This was my first and will be my last purchase from Amazon.

Comment: I purchased this Riser for the S&W MP15-22 for mounting my scope. It fits perfectly and is easy to remove and re-install as needed. You can't use the rear iron sight with the riser & scope mounted on the rifle, but it is easy to remove and install either.

Comment: I purchased this scope riser for my red dot sight for my AR-15 Paintball gun. After attaching this to my gun i can see through the sight with my mask on with absolutely no problems, great quality, great product. i ordered mine through the Global Sportsmen, shipping was free and i had the product in no time

Comment: The problem? AR 15 rifles have the recoil spring straight back through the stock, giving little room to cheek the stock wearing ear protection in oder to get in proper on the scope.

The need? Find a way to raise the scope on my M&P 15 so that I could shoot wearing ear protection. Note that high scope rings did not do the trick.

The answer? Buy the UTG see through riser mount. This makes my AR shootable at the range without cramping my neck and allows me to cheek the stock properly. The product itself is quality made and securely fits on my optics ready rail system. It works great with my 2-7x32 scope and my ATN red dot unltrasight. Keep in mind that the extra rise will make the scope and red dot inaccurate at longer or shorter distances based on what distance you are sighted in on. I normally use these at 50 to 100 yards
