Sightmark Triple Duty 8.5-25x50 Riflescope

This scope is everything I could want for my AR. The mounts that come with this scope suck, but the scope itself is truly amazing. I've got this mounted to my Rock River Varmint A4 24" and I'm glad I ordered the 8.5-25x version instead of the 4-16x. The extra magnification is really nice when doing 1/4" groups @ 200 yds. The sight picture is nice and crisp throughout the magnification range, and the grren / red illuminated reticle is nice for low light environments. The lockable turrets on the windage and elevation knobs are nice and clean and parallax side focus is a nice feature to have over the adjustable objective lens that many other scopes feature. For the money I could never see paying any more for a scope when this thing does everything a much more expensive scope does just as good. This is the 2nd Site Mark I purchased. Based on the 1.5x5, I decided the scope was significantly better than some I had purchased and returned due to the SiteMark optics being so much clearer and magnification appeared stronger.
So, I liked the idea of having an illuminated reticle with green/red, and with my eyes, having a stronger magnification looked appealing.

Like the other reviewer said, there's really no reason to purchase the expensive Nikons, etc., I'm sure you may get something other than name recognition or bragging rights, but what's the point. I've had this on my AR-15 (real gun, not air soft) and it's been terrific. Stays zero'd in, and crystal clear optics. The illumination isn't fuzzy and is able to adjust based on light level - just terrific.
